Part 3 "Ireland Tales Continued"

MystressKatt.....

Standing with Jon, I watch Raven and Max closely, preparing to intervene should I feel Max does something sneaky. With the dogs protecting Mother, I strain my ears to listen around, making sure nothing unexpected pops out of anywhere.

Raven.....

The waves of lightning have no effect on me. Must be some of the new power of my dagger. Max hits my sword and I spin and attack with my dagger slicing his forearm. As the dagger draws blood I feel Max's life force drain and come into me. From the look on his face Max felt something too.

Jon Bro.....

I stand next to my sister as I watch the battle closely. My were side feels like it wants to enter the battle, but I remember my promise and I curb it's instincts telling it when the time is right it can be let loose again. As the battle goes on, I look over to Kat. "Can Raven take him?" I whisper to her as I look back at the battle.

Katt.....

Not taking my eyes off Raven, I whisper, "Aye, he can take Max. He has done so before. Tis how we came to share our magic. Were it not for some intervening, MadMax would be dead and Raven wouldn't be in such danger now." A single tear slides down my cheek as I say those last words.

Something in the distant sky catch's my eye. Hoping onto FeatherFeet "Jon, you must not interfere in anyway other then to stop outsiders, other then the one that arrives from the sky. Only if Raven looses may you step in now. Heed my words brother, Lives depend on it." I knee FF into motion and begin circling the combatants slowly, waiting for Artimis to finally show.

Max.....

Shocked at the pain slicing through my arm where HIS blade slices, I loose my grip on my sword and stagger half to my knees.
My mind races franticly as my energy level drops more then it should with that simple cut. Growling I look at his dagger and realize there must be something magical about it.
Calling up every bit of magic energy I have, I send it at the dagger, intending on blowing it to bits.
My mind then begins seeing more pictures of Katt and Raven together. Times where her eyes are lighting up with laughter, lightheartedness and love such as they never did with me. I then see a small male version of her beside one of her stupid beasts with Mother. Shocked, I realize its my son and he has a grin but then he fades into the dog, gone. Shaking my head, I begin mumbling insanely for a moment before anger takes over completely and I rise from my slumped position and attack my opponent with everything I have.

I hadda com outta Sherkan to sees how momma be doing. Me seen daddy get hit wif ravn lil nife so me thoughted really hard n send him pictrs of momma wif ravn, me wanna help make him mader so him looses.
Uhoh, him seeing me so me go back into the dog.

JonBro.....

I nod at my sister. "Very well, I shall not interfere unless Raven loses the battle. You can trust me." With that, I turn to look toward the sky waiting for someone to arrive. I turn back to look at my sister, but she is already gone, her horse carrying her out of the area.

Phang.....

i hear the door burst open. Without any other thought i spring to my feet, grab my athame, take hold of ameya's pendant, and summon my staff; poised to meet a shadow shaped like a woman. Behind her i hear what could only be bear's sword being pulled from it's sheath.

within the space of a second, i get a good look at this 'woman' standing before me. nothing familiar about her, yet she seems to be right angry at me. even though i've not a clue as to who or what she could be i stare in wonderment before returning to the here and now.

"Bear, wait..." i call out to her, hoping she doesn't decide to just lundge at the damned thing. "Give me some time to try to isolate it first..."

Bear.....

* i stand and wait to see what phang does to her . Phang do you know her she asked is i was your new mate . is she some one to you or what?

Phang.....

i begin the incantation but the shadow chants, telling me to stop. suddenly i'm hit with-

...a flood of images invade my mind. none of them i recognize but i know the pain they give me as each image lasts less than countable seconds...

-i come to and relax myself into a more ease position yet ready for anything. "Who are you..."

Bear.....

*as i see the pain on phang face i wounder why she is doing this then i see a look in her eyes of love toward hiim and i wounder if this is the woman i have heard hiim say her name in his sleep?
then i see the gaunlet is still glowing and i ask phang why is this doing that and how do we make them stop???
does this glowing mean katt need our help or what?

Phang.....

i remain focused on the shadowy figure until the brilliance of bear's gauntlette catches my eye. "Bear, we have to get to Katt. Leave this for now, she needs us. Let's go!" She leaves first whilst i follow her. The urgency in Bear's steps tells me something big is happening. "So, Bear, mind telling me what's going on before we run into something too big to swallow?"

Bear.....

*as i run to where i saw kat open the portail i start telling phang all about katt brother and the kids and where kat and raven went off to.
* i whisper katt and ask do you need us and why is this thing on my arm glowing what does it mean katt ? phang said it mean we are coming to you and if so do you need more tea?
* i stop and turn back to the woman standing there and i see her eyes on us and i wounder who she is and why she is in my home so i call out a spell very fast and incase her in a glass wall so she can not go any where near the kids.

Katt.....

Glancing secretly towards the sky again, trying to make it seem as if I have not yet see the apperition, I realize even with Jon's help, only magic will protect the fighters from outside interference.

Taking a deep breath, and knee Feather into a trot a couple hundred yards away from the men. Telling FF to circle, I raise my arms, close my eyes and begin chanting in scottish gaelic. "I bhitheas steàirn to dìon Fitheach uapa sin faod aimhleas è." (I shall be a blazing fire to protect Raven from them that may harm him). As FF circles, a lasair (flash of fire) emits from my body, trailing down the horse to the ground and stays lit. As Feather completes the circle, the low flames suddenly jump up to 10 feet height. As my entire body looks like a flame, we continue to move until we are between the apperition in the sky and the fighters.

Bear.....

*as i wait for kitkat to answer me i see the guanlet start glowing like flames and then all of a sudden there a big portail opening up infront of me all in flames .
* i scream for the cook to being me lots of tea and my shoulder bag of healing iteams and to watch the kids and if something should happen do take care of them and raise then to know we loved them
*as i start toward the portail i see kitkat and ff and call my horse to me and i jump on and ride to her passing through the flames i spot max and whisper to the cook after phang pass through the portail will close watch the woman in the glass and do not let her near my kids
* i ride up to where the portail and then pass through it to where i see kat

Katt.....

My wrists begin to tingle and I look around puzzled as I think I hear Bear. Just in case I didn't imagine it "No Bear, tis not safe where we are. I'll be fine. The fight continues."

My attention goes back fully to being the protective flame and I don't see a flaming portal open

Bear.....

*as i ride throgh the flames i pull my sword and split a few gouls trying to get to my home i see katt splitting them in half so i start doing the same and i ride toward her i see the look on her face and i smile and say i brought you something then kill a few more
*as i ride past her i hand kat the tea amd tell her cook said to drink it now not later it will help her more when it is still hot and i swing my sword and see the guanlet is glowing flames even more

Katt.....

As I realize Bear has shown up, I loose all concentration and the protective circle does down to a small flame.

Not sure what Bear is planning, I wave my arm with a whisper, her horse is instantly stopped. "STOP! You may not interfer sister! If you try then I must stop you! Go help Jon watch outside the circle." Whispering softly so only she hears "Thank you Bear, the tea will help me sustain my energy but you must stay outside this circle!"

Bear.....

* as i hear kat i ride over to jon and say in my mind to kat please close that damn portail soon in the flames so no one can get my kids if phang does not show let hiim deal with the kids and why is this damn gaunlett glowing so much??????
* i ride up next to jon and hand him a healing drink then i sit on my horse next to him and wait
* all of a suden i hear in cherokee a chant that i feel needs said but not just yet

Katt.....

Turning with to look at Bear puzzled "I dinna open the portal Bear, I canna close it! Try using the gauntlet, that may be why its glowing."

Katt.....

"Aim the gauntlet at the portal and tell it to close portal. Then tell it to show you why its glowing. Speak the words outloud."

Bear.....

*aims the guantlet at the portal ans says out loud Close the protal now and show me why your glowing.
as i watch the portal close i see the woman in the glass face turn to look some what like max and i scream noooooooooooooooooo
and i start racing toward the portal before it closes i get through it and have my sword pulled and head to the woman in glass

Katt.....

Hearing Bear scream no and head back into the portal, I make Phangs gauntlet glow super bright intentionally and tell him "Protect Bear and the kids! Somethings wrong but I can't leave Raven!"

Bear.....

*as i race through the portail and get closer tot he woman in glass i send kat the picture the guanlett showed me and i ask who is she and why is she here? do you know her she is older woman and a shadow figure .

Katt.....

Turning my attention to Bear again, I try to figure out who the shadow is. "Bear I can't tell who she is. Use the gauntlet on her, sis. Tis the best I can tell you for now. I can't leave Raven to come help you. You and Phang will have to take care of her. Do you need me to send Jon?"
